Opening of the Kukulcán elevated interchange structure
The new elevated structure of the Kukulcán interchange entered into operation on 1 November 2026 at 06:00 hours, according to the official notice. The roadway provides traffic flow from Boulevard Kukulcán toward Cancún International Airport, intended to improve mobility between the Hotel Zone and the airport. The project is reported as a federal infrastructure action assigned to the Secretaría de Infraestructura, Comunicaciones y Transportes following state-level requests. Start of operations: MOBI Villas del Mar 3–Puente Nichupté route
The MOBI route named Villas del Mar 3–Puente Nichupté began operations on 2 November 2026, connecting north Cancún with the Hotel Zone up to km 20 of Boulevard Kukulcán. The official notice states the service operates with 36 buses and will benefit tens of thousands of residents across several neighborhoods. INFRATUR night works on Boulevard Kukulcán
INFRATUR personnel carried out drilling and asphalt-laying works on Boulevard Kukulcán during night shifts reported for the nights of Thursday 5 and Friday 6 November 2026, scheduled from 22:00 to 05:00. The official notice explains that the works were scheduled overnight to reduce impacts on daytime vehicular circulation in the Hotel Zone.
